Anything worth doing usually comes with it’s fair share of trials and hard work. Being in a band or starting a record label is no exception. (especially these days.) The woes of the music industry are well documented, and we don’t really need to go into that. What I do want to go into is that in the midst of all those trials and hard work, every once in a while, we get a victory. A moment that helps affirm what we are doing. A moment that lets us know that we are making an impact. A moment that encourages us to press on! Pioneer going #1 with their single Treason was one of those moments.
This is a big step for our young label and for the band! In a little over a month Pioneer has given themselves, and Slospeak our first #1 single. Although our idea of success as a label is not based around how many #1′s we can get, this is proof that we are having an impact on people, and that is exciting! I am super stoked to see what God has in store for Slospeak and our artist! This is just the beginning!
Slospeak Records just announced that they will be sponsoring stages at both AgapeFest (Greenville, IL May4-5th) and JoshuaFest (Plymouth, CA Aug 30-Sep2). All four Slospeak artists will perform at both events. Everyone is really stoked to play, but most of all we’re excited to meet all of you!! Will you be at either festivals? What other festivals would you like to see Slospeak artists perform at?
